Installation prices
Nine configurations across close-coupled, flat-roof, split and retrofit systems. All prices include supply and standard installation within Cape Town.
R21,600 – R24,000
Geyser and collectors installed together on the roof. Natural circulation — no circulation pump required.
R25,400 – R28,000
Same natural-circulation design with larger storage — suited to families with higher hot water demand.
R23,500 – R25,000
Mounting structure positions the collector at the correct height for natural circulation on flat roofs.
R26,000 – R28,000
Natural circulation with 200-litre storage for larger families on flat-roof properties.
R25,000 – R29,000
Circulation pump moves water between collector and geyser — for flat-roof layouts where a pump is preferred.
R29,400 – R32,000
Pumped circulation with 200-litre storage for larger households on flat-roof properties.
R27,600 – R29,000
Collector on the roof, geyser concealed inside the roof space, connected via circulation pump. Neat, hidden installation.
R31,400 – R34,000
Split installation with concealed 200-litre tank — suits higher-demand households wanting a tidier roofline.
R18,700 – R22,000
Convert a suitable existing geyser into a solar-assisted system. Cost-effective upgrade — assessment required to confirm compatibility.

What's included
Every quoted installation includes the following as standard, unless noted otherwise in the quote.
Not included: structural reinforcement, extended pipe runs, additional electrical work, or geyser replacement on retrofit systems where the existing tank is unsuitable. These are quoted separately if required.
Why GreaseFlow
Every installation is assessed before it's quoted — we recommend the system that fits your property, not the most expensive one on the list. With over 20 years of industry experience, we focus on practical recommendations, professional workmanship and reliable hot water systems.
Common questions
No. The prices shown are indicative ranges. Final pricing depends on the system configuration, roof type, installation requirements, pipe runs, electrical work and site conditions. We confirm an exact quote after a free on-site assessment.
The solar retrofit — using your existing geyser — is our lowest-cost option, from R18,700. It is only suitable if the existing tank is in good condition and compatible with the proposed solar collector and circulation system.
Close-coupled systems place the geyser and collector together on the roof and use natural thermosyphon circulation. Flat-roof systems mount the same components on a suitable frame for low-pitched roofs. Split systems place the collector on the roof and the geyser inside the roof space, using a circulation pump.
As a rough guide, a 150L system suits 1–3 people and a 200L system suits 3–5 people, but household habits, bathrooms and peak usage matter. We recommend the right capacity during the assessment.
Yes — the ranges shown include supply and standard installation within Cape Town. Additional work (structural reinforcement, extended pipe runs, extra electrical) is quoted separately if the assessment finds it's required.
